Germany might have won if the U.S didn’t join WW1. The U.S had nearing war after the German atrocities became public. The Zimmerman telegram was the final straw which asked Mexico to invade the U.S. From any logical point of view, that was the right coarse of action. This decision also helped the U.S in the long run by making them more attached to foreign affairs.
