Based on the annual dividend on the stock and the market yeild of similar securities, the preferred stock will sell at $227.36.

How much will the stock sell for?

This can be found as:

= Dividend x (1 - ( 1 + rate) ^- number of years) / rate

The dividend is quarterly so the rate is:

= 8% / 4

= 2%

Number of periods is:

= 10 x 4

= 40 quarters

Dividend is:

= 20 / 4

= $5

Selling price is:

= 5 x (1 - (1 + 2%)⁻⁴⁰) / 2%

= $227.36

Explanation:

The normal price in dollars is (87.89)(2.25), and the 25% discount corresponds to multiplying this result by 0.75. Carrying out the arithmetic, the price is (87.89)(2.25)(0.75) = 148.31.

Advanced Enterprises reports year−end information from 2019 as follows: Sales (160,250 units) $969,000 Cost of goods sold (6
Ilya [14]

Answer:

Cost of goods sold = $576,900

Explanation:

The budgeted cost of goods sold will be the sales volume in 2020 multiplied by cost per unit .

Sales volume in year 2020= (100-10)% × sales figure for 2019

                                            = 90% × 160,250= 144,225

Cost of goods sold per unit = cost of goods sold in 2019/Sales units in 2019

                                              = 641,000/160250=$4

Cost of goods sold = $4× 144,225 = $576,900

Cost of goods sold = $576,900
