The name of the aldehyde is 4, 7- diethyldecanal (D)

What are rules for naming organic compounds?

The rules for naming organic compounds are;

 1. Find the longest carbon chain in the compound. ...
 2. Name the longest carbon chain found
 3. Figure the ending name
 4. Then number the carbon atoms
 5. Name the side groups
 6. Then put the side groups in alphabetical order.

The longest chain of the structure given is 10 (deca)

It is an alkanal due to the presence of the carbonyl -CHO

There are two side groups (ethyl) at the 4th and 7th carbon atoms which are both the same, CH2CH3 and are named diethyl

Thus, the name of the aldehyde is 4, 7- diethyldecanal

An electron's quantum number falls under which structure classification O macroscopic O subatomic atomic Omicroscopic O none of
Tems11 [23]

Answer:

O subatomic atomic

Explanation:

Each orbitals of an atom and electrons accommodated are described by a set of quantum numbers. These numbers gives the position of an orbital with respect to the nucleus, the shape of the orbital, its spatial orientation and the spin of the electron in the orbital.

The quantum numbers can be used to write proper sub-level notation of an atom.

Explain what interaction is in the hydrogen fluoride (HF) and hydrogen chlori de (H CI) Which one do you expect to have a higher
djyliett [7]

Explanation:

Part A

Boiling point of HF is much higher as compared to the boiling point of HCl.

Reason:

The strongest inter molecular hydrogen bonding exist between HF molecules This is due to highly electronegative Fluorine atom.

Part B

The type of bonding present in the given compounds are:

1. Ice

The water molecules in ice are linked to each other through intermolecular hydrogen bonding due to the presence of electronegative oxygen atom that is attached to hydrogen atom.

2. Copper dioxide

In Copper dioxide, Copper and oxide ions are linked to each other via electrostatic force of attraction due to the presence of electronegative Oxygen atom and electropositive Cu atom.

Therefore, ionic bond is present in it.

3. Steel

In steel, metal and negatively charged electrons are linked to each other, thus giving rise to metallic bond between steel molecules.

4. Silicon elastomer

In silicon elastomer, Silicon atom is linked to other atom via covalent bonds due to sharing of electrons.

5. Tungsten

In the case of tungsten also, atoms are bonded to each other via metallic bond.
