The parent function y=1/x²

<h3>How horizontal shifting of the graph takes place?</h3>

If a function f(x) is shifted horizontally by k units the parent function f(x) becomes f(x+ k) where k>0

Here, the parent function y=1/x²

Add 3 to x in the denominator as the graph is shifted to left 3.

and, Add 1 to the fraction, because the graph is shifted up 1 unit.

PLEASE HELP!!! You want to distribute 7 candies to 4 kids. If every kid must receive at least one candy, in how many ways can yo
ipn [44]

Answer:

1140 ways.

Step-by-step explanation:

The applicable formula is: (n +r - 1)C(r-1), where n is the number of identical items (the candies), and r is the possible number of recipients (the kids).

The 17 identical candies, can be distributed among the 4 children in :

=(17 + 4 - 1)C(4–1) = 20C3 ways.

= 20!/((20–3)!*3!) ways.

= 20*19*18*17!/(17!*(3*2*1)) = 20*19*18/6 ways

= 20*19*3 ways.

=1140 ways.
