Answer:

Area of Quadrilateral = 289.57 sq.cm

Step-by-step explanation:

First of all, let us understand what is a Quadrilateral?

A quadrilateral is a polygon with four sides. A quadrilateral is a closed two-dimensional figure formed by joining the four points among which three points are non-collinear points.

Given,

Length of sides :

AB = 7.5 cm

BC = 11.7 cm

CD = 15.6 cm

AD = 18 cm

and given , the Angle between BCD is 90 degrees and the angle between BAD is 90 degrees.

It implies that the TRAINGLES BCD and BAD are Right angled triangles

So, the length of BD can be found using Pythagorean theorem

Pythagorean theorem, the well-known geometric theorem that the sum of the squares on the legs of a right triangle is equal to the square on the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle)—or, in familiar algebraic notation, a2 + b2 = c2.

From the Triangle of BCD,

a= BC

b=CD and

c= BD

Therefore, The length of BD =

c=\sqrt[2]{(11.7^{2})+(15.6 x^{2}) }

c = \sqrt{380.25}

c = 19.5 cm

Hence, c= BD=19.5 cm

Now, Area of Quadrilateral =

1/2*(diagonal)*(sum of height of two triangles)

Here, Diagonal = Length of BD = 19.5 cm

Height (h1) = BC = 11.7 cm

Height ( h2) = AD = 18 cm

Therefore, Area = 1/2*19.5*(11.7+18)

                           = 289.57 sq.cm

How to set the answer up
Korolek [52]

Let s and g represents the numbers of suits and gowns produced.

The number of zippers used is 2s+g.

The number of buttons used is 5s+8g.

In order to use all of the available zippers and buttons, we must have ...

  • 2s + g = 171
  • 5s + 8g = 576

Cramer's rule tells you the solution to the system

  • ax +by = c
  • dx +ey = f

Is given by

  • x = (bf-ey)/(bd-ea)
  • y = (cd-fa)/(bd-ea)

Using this rule on the equations for zippers and buttons, we have

... s = (1·576 -8·171)/(1·5 -8·2) = -792/-11 = 72

... g = (171·5 -2·576)/-11 = -297/-11 = 27

72 suits and 27 gowns can be made from available zippers and buttons.

Find the area please don’t lie to me
astra-53 [7]

Answer:

<h2>108 yd²</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula of an area of a trapezoid:

A=\dfrac{b_1+b_2}{2}\cdot h

<em>b₁, b₂</em><em> - bases</em>

<em>h</em><em> - height</em>

From the picture we have

b_1=19yd,\ b_2=5yd,\ h=9yd

Substitute:

A=\dfrac{19+5}{2}\cdot9=\dfrac{24}{2}\cdot9=12\cdot9=108\ yd^2

3x-2y=-5 and 4x+2y=-16
podryga [215]

Answer:

x=-22/4

y=-3

Step-by-step explanation:

3x-2y=-5

4x+2y=-16

we <u>add</u> the equation

7y=-21

y=-3

then we find the x by taking a random equation

I take 4x+2y=-16

4x+2(-3)=-16

4x-6=-16

4x=-22

x=-22/4
