Answer is parallel lines
Reason - same slope (3x) and different y intercept means they will be parallel lines because their slope is the same but they will cross the y axis at different points.

I changed the first equation to y intercept form
y = 3x - 10 to match the other equation
y = 3x - 6

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

Here m = - 2 and c = - 2 , then

y = - 2x - 2 ← is the equation of the line

To find the x- intercept let y = 0 in the equation and solve for x , that is

- 2x - 2 = 0 ( add 2 to both sides )

- 2x = 2 ( divide both sides by - 2 )

x = - 1

The x- intercept is - 1 → B

Nostrana [21]
If Jana has to walk 2 blocks north to get to Kyle's home, then 3 blocks south to get to school, this means that she has just retraced the 2 blocks she walked to get to Kyle's home.

So the school is just 1 block south of Jana's home.

The cost of the hiking trip this year is 2/3 of the cost of last year's trip. This year's trip cost $32. Write an equation that
allsm [11]

Answer: (32/2)*3=48

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find the answer, we must find one third of last year's trip. To do this, we can simply divide the cost of this years trip by two, 32/2=16.

Now if we multiply this this number by 3, 16*3=48, we can see that the total cost of last year's trip was $48.

If we'd like to turn this into one equation, it looks like this: (32/2)*3=48
