The zone and its characteristics include the following:

  • Subpolar low: Lies along the polar jetstream.
  • Horse latitudes: The trade winds and westerlies originate here.
  • Doldrums: Heavy precipitation, little wind.

<h3>What is Horse latitude zone?</h3>

This is referred to regions which is located at about 30 degrees north and south of the equator and forms the basis of westerlies.

The other zones such as doldrums are also found at the equator with their respective features and can be seen above. This therefore makes it the most appropriate choice.

A bubble of helium gas has a volume of 0.650 cm3 near the bottom of a large aquarium where the pressure is 1.54 atm and the temp
aleksandrvk [35]

Answer:

1.005 cm³

Explanation:

Using Ideal gas equation for same mole of gas as

\frac {{P_1}\times {V_1}}{T_1}=\frac {{P_2}\times {V_2}}{T_2}

Given ,

V₁ = 0.650 cm³

V₂ = ?

P₁ = 1.54 atm

P₂ = 1.01 atm

T₁ = 12°C

T₂ = 16 ºC

The conversion of T( °C) to T(K) is shown below:

T(K) = T( °C) + 273.15

So,

T₁ = (12 + 273.15) K = 285.15 K

T₂ = (16 + 273.15) K = 289.15 K

Using above equation as:

\frac {{P_1}\times {V_1}}{T_1}=\frac {{P_2}\times {V_2}}{T_2}

\frac {{1.54}\times {0.650}}{285.15}=\frac {{1.01}\times {V_2}}{289.15}

Solving for V₂ , we get:

<u>V₂ = 1.005 cm³</u>

Identify the precipitate(s) of the reaction that occurs when a silver nitrate solution is mixed with a sodium chloride solution.
klio [65]
Hello!

The precipitate of the reaction that occurs <span>when a silver nitrate solution is mixed with a sodium chloride solution is silver chloride (AgCl).

The chemical equation for this precipitation reaction is the following:

AgNO</span>₃(aq) + NaCl(aq) → AgCl↓(s) + NaNO₃(aq)

Silver Chloride is a chemical compound that is poorly soluble in water because the chemical bond between Ag⁺ and Cl⁻ is very strong as the two ions are nearly the same size and have similar electronic densities. If the chemical bond is strong, it is more difficult for water molecules to break this bond to surround the individual ions, and thus solubility will decrease.

Have a nice day!
