What method of matrixes would be used for this question? ( Inverse Matrices, Cramer's Rule, Gaussian Elimination, and Gauss-Jord

an Elimination)
John had $24,500 to invest. He divided the money into three different accounts. At the end of the first year he had made a total of $1,300 in interest between the three accounts. If the first account earned 4% interest on its original amount for the year, the second account earned 5.5% interest on its original amount for the year, and the third account earned 6% interest on its original amount for the year. Also, the amount of money in the first account was 4 times the amount in the second account. How much had he originally placed in each account?

Answer:

The method of matrixes that would be used for this question is Gaussian Elimination.

Step-by-step explanation:

Gaussian Elimination is a method of solving linear equations by transforming them into upper triangular form. In this case, we want to solve for the original amount of money placed in each account, which can be represented by variables x, y, and z. We can set up the equations as follows:

4x + 5.5y + 6z = 1,300

x + y + z = 24,500

4x = y

We can then use Gaussian Elimination to solve for x, y, and z.

A florist has 30 carnations and 42 roses. He wants to put the flowers in vases so that each vase has the same number of flowers
Nesterboy [21]

Note that

  • 30=2·3·5;
  • 42=2·3·7.

Find the grearest common factor GCF(30,42). You can see that numbers 30 and 42 have common factors 2 and 3, then

GCF(30,42)=2\cdot 3=6.

This gives that the greatest number of identical vases florist can fill is 6. Each vase will contain

  • 30:6=5 carnations;
  • 42:6=7 roses.

Therefore, in each vase will be 12 flowers (5 carnations and 7 roses).

I'm in a rush & I really need to solve these two problems:
Elenna [48]
1. 23.5 x 2.3 = 54.05
when you are multiplying decimals you have to line up the decimal point.
example:
23.5
2.3

2. 12.34 x 4.321 = 53.32114
once again you need to line up your decimals when multiplying two decimals.
example: however I had to add a zero to the number 12.34 so everything would line up correctly. I hope you understand that.

4.321

What is wrong with this solution?
Naily [24]

Answer:

They changed 5m into a positive when it should've stayed as a negative until you isolate the variable m at the end, making m actually equal -7.

Step-by-step explanation:

-5m - 16 = 19

-5m = 19 + 16

-5m = 35

m = 35/-5

m = -7
