Sarah is selling bracelets. The inequalities are a > 10 and 2a + 3b ≥ 60.

<u>Solution:</u>

Given, Sarah is selling bracelets and earrings to make money for summer vacation.

bracelets cost = $2

earrings cost = $3

She needs to make at least $60.

Sarah knows she will sell more than 10 bracelets.

We have to write inequalities

Now, according to given information,

Total money ≥ $ 60

Money earned from bracelets + money earned by earrings ≥ 60

2 x number of bracelets + 3 x number of earrings ≥ 60

2a + 3b ≥ 60

[ where a is number of bracelets and b is number of earrings]

And, number of bracelets is more than 10 ⇒ a > 10

Hence, the inequalities are a > 10 and 2a + 3b ≥ 60

Answer:

d

Step-by-step explanation:

x 1= \frac{ - b + \sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac} }{2a} \\ x2 = \frac{ - b - \sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac} }{2a} \\ x1 = \frac{ - 2 + \sqrt{ {2}^{2} - 4\times 1 \times ( - 3)} }{2} = 1 \\ x2 = \frac{ - 2 - \sqrt{ {2}^{2} - 4 \times 1 \times ( - 3)} }{2} = - 3
