To graph this, first graph it like a linear equation. If the inequality sign is less then or equal to or more than or equal to (\leq or \geq), then the line is solid. If the inequality sign is less than or more than (< or >), then the line is dotted. If the sign is either < or \leq (less than or less than or equal to), the underside of the line is shaded. If the sign is either > or \geq (more than or more than or equal to), then the upper side of the line is shaded and the shaded regions are the solutions to the inequality.

A terrarium is built in the shape of a triangular prism. The prism is 10 inches in height and contains 450 cubic inches of space
Stells [14]

Answer:

45 square inches

Step-by-step explanation:

We are told that a terrarium is constructed in a triangular prism shape with the following 10 inches tall and 450 cubic inches in volume.

We are asked to calculate the area of the base shape of the prism, we know that the volume of any triangular prism is equal to the area of the base times the height therefore:

450 = W × 10

we solve for A:

A = 450/10

A = 45

Which means that the base area is 45 square inches

kipiarov [429]
Divide 48 by 4 and you get 12 ounces. Therefore, each 1/4 of a bucket  is equal to 12 ounces. divide 48 by 3 and you get 16 ounces. Therefore, each 1/3 of a bucket is 16 ounces. Divide 48 by 6 and you get 8 ounces. 8 multiplyed by 5 is 40. Add 40 16 and 12 and you get 68 ounces

Simplify 25^ - 1/2 <br><br>Please explain! I know the answer is 1/5 but why?
lisov135 [29]

(25)^{-\frac{1}{2} }

When the exponent is negative, you have to make the number a fraction(1 over the number).

For example:

25^{-2} = \frac{1}{25^{2} }

x^{-1} =\frac{1}{x^{1}  }

This gets rid of the negative, but it leaves the exponent

(25)^{-\frac{1}{2}}  = \frac{1}{25^{1/2}}

When an exponent is a fraction, it is the square root.

For example:

x^{\frac{1}{3}} =  \sqrt[3]{x}

x^{\frac{1}{2}}  =\sqrt{x}

x^{\frac{1}{4}}=\sqrt[4]{x}

So...

\frac{1}{25^{1/2}} = \frac{1}{\sqrt{25}  } = \frac{1}{5}
