Divide 48 by 4 and you get 12 ounces. Therefore, each 1/4 of a bucket  is equal to 12 ounces. divide 48 by 3 and you get 16 ounces. Therefore, each 1/3 of a bucket is 16 ounces. Divide 48 by 6 and you get 8 ounces. 8 multiplyed by 5 is 40. Add 40 16 and 12 and you get 68 ounces

68 ounces because 48/4= 12 so jack spilled 12 ounces. 48/3=16 so Jill spilled 16 ounces. 48/6=8 so bill spilled 40 ounces.12+16+40=68. Hope this helps

please answer asap! A couple plans to have 5 children. The gender of each child is equally likely. Design a simulation involving
dimulka [17.4K]

Step-by-step explanation:

The gender of a child which is either a boy or a girl is determined by the XX-chromosomes, or XY-chromosomes.

Since the couple plan to have 5 children, the chance of a child being a boy is equal to the chance of it being a girl - the chances are 50/50.

What we do to achieve our aim is to run a simulation that would add an X or Y to an X for all 5 children.

Doing this 125 times, we obtain the number of trials we desire.

For each trial, we get for each child, C:

C1: X + (X or Y)

C2: X + (X or Y)

C3: X + (X or Y)

C4: X + (X or Y)

C5: X + (X or Y)

Since the chance of having an X is equal to the chance of having a Y, they equal probability, which is 0.5 for each.

Rate of burn(scented):1/8inch in 1/4h
=4(1/8)inch in 1h=1/2inch in 1h

Rate of burn(unscented):1/9inch in 1/3h=3(1/9)inch in 1h=1/3inch in 1h

The scented candle burns more in one hour.

1/2inch-1/3inch=1/6inch

The scented candle burns 1/6inch more per hour
