Infants who are unable to predict how their parents will react to their cries for care and attention are especially likely to show signs of insecure attachment.

Due to insecure attachments people become anxious, fearful and avoidant.

In case of children it is known as ambivert, avoidant and disorganized.

There are three types of insecure attachment:

  • Anxious attachment:  People tend to become anxious and insecure in relationships.
  • Avoidant attachment: People show dismissive behavior , and avoid emotional closeness.
  • Fearful avoidant-attachment:  People show unpredictable and volatile behaviors.
