volume = (1/3) * π * r² * h

= 1/3* 22/7 * (3.5*3.5) * 5 ( 22/7 is the value of π)

=64.1

Answer:

If you need a pi in your answer: 20.417 \pi (rounded to the nearest thousanth)

If you don't: 64.141 (rounded to the nearest thousanth)

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula of the volume of a cone: V = \pi r^2\frac{h}{3}

--> V = Volume, r = Radius, h = Height

In other words, the volume of the cone is the area of the circle x height x 1/3 x pi.

Since the radius of the cone is 3.5, you square that number.

--> (3.5)^2 = 12.25

The height is 5, so h/3 will be 5/3.

The volume = \pi x 12.25 x 5/3

--> 20.416666... \pi

--> 64.14085....

Ashley should get her seeds at garden place as she gets the exact amount of seeds and spends the least amount of money.
first of all I divided 75 by the amount of seeds you get it a packet. then if that was a decimal I rounded it to the larger number (eg. 7.15 rounded to 8)
then I multiplied the cost by that number to get the amount of money itd cost.
so I got in order of the boxes(s=seeds)
75s=$18
80s=$18.4
84s=$21.84
80s=$20
so the best deal is Garden place

Translate (3,2) to the left one unit. Then reflect the result over the y-axis. What are the coordinates of the final point?
OleMash [197]

Answer:

(-2, 2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Take point (3, 2) and first translate it left one unit.  Now the point is (2, 2)

Now reflect it over the y-axis.  Doing so keeps the y value the same, we have a vertical line of reflection, so we are only changing the distance to the y-axis, which is the x-value.

Our x value is 2 units away from the y axis, so its reflection will be 2 units away on the other side of the axis.

The new x value is -2, so the point is (-2, 2)

Solve the system of equations. y=3x-1 and y=-2x+9. PLEASE SHOW WORK
kow [346]

Since both equations equal Y, set them equal to each other and solve.

3x -1 = -2x +9

Add 2x to each side:

5x - 1 = 9

Add 1 to each side:

5x = 10

Divide both sides by 5:

x = 10/5

x = 2

Now replace x with 2 and solve for y:

y = 3(2) -1 = 6-1 = 5

x = 2, y = 5  (2,5)
