After world war I, u.s. opposition to the treaty of Versailles was based largely on the idea that the treaty: would require the United States to join the League of Nations and might result in a loss of United States sovereignty.

The Versailles Treaty had conflicting goals in Paris. Clemenceau's main purpose was to protect France from another German attack. He demanded a large amount of compensation from Germany to limit Germany's post-war economic recovery and minimize its potential.

This treaty forced Germany to abandon its colonies in Africa, Asia and the Pacific. Ceded territory to other countries such as France and Poland. Reduce the size of the army. Pay war reparations to the Allies. And accept responsibility for the war

Gunpowder brought in the canon, and this was a weapon that was effective even farther than the long bow.
It could kill multiple people at long range, plus, it made the stone castle obsolete, because canon balls could blast them apart.
