The Equation for parabola is y=-1/486 x² +6 and the height of the arc 5 feet is: 5 461/486 feet.

Equation for parabola

Using this equation to find the equation for parabola

y=a(x-54) (x+54)

y(0)=a(-54) (54)=6

-2916a=6

Divide both side by y6a

a=-2916/6

a=-486

Equation for parabola

y=-1/486 x² +6

Height of the arc 5 feet

When x=5

y=-25/486+6

y=2891/486

=5 461/486 feet

Therefore the Equation for parabola is y=-1/486 x² +6 and the height of the arc 5 feet is: 5 461/486 feet.

Which of the statements about mole ratios are true? select all that apply.
Serga [27]

The following are true of mole ratio

 • They are expressed as ratio of mass to molar mass
 • It is measured in moles

How to calculate the mole ratio

The formula for calculating the mole ratio is expressed according to the formula shown:

Mole ratio is the ratio of the mass of a substance to the molar mass of the same substance.

To calculate the mole ratio

Mole = Mass(g)/molar mass(g/mol)

Hence the following are true of mole ratio

 • They are expressed as ratio of mass to molar mass
 • It is measured in moles

What are two reasons why the terrestrial planets formed closer to the Sun after the supernova event that initiated the formation
RideAnS [48]

The correct answers are:

- They are made of denser objects, which can condense at relatively high temperatures;

- They are made of heavier elements, which have a stronger gravitational attraction to the Sun;

All the planets in the Solar system formed from the solar nebula. The conditions though were different for the formation of the planets. The gas giants were not able to form closer to the Sun because of the high temperatures, and those temperatures were not allowing the lighter mater to condensate. On the other hand, those same high temperatures enabled the heavier, denser materials to be able to condensate, thus giving rise to the terrestrial planets.

STALIN [3.7K]

The strategy that is likely to result in the greatest increase in the San Joaquin kit fox population is strategy one.

Which change is said to be responsible for the decline of the kit fox population A?

Habitat destruction and fragmentation is known to be the factor that has led to and has been identified as the most vital cause of the kit fox's decline and it is one that has threatens the species' consistent viability.

So, the human intervention that would most likely protect and keep the kit fox populations is through the Introduction of a species that can be able to act as the new kit fox food source.

Hence, The strategy that is likely to result in the greatest increase in the San Joaquin kit fox population is strategy one.

Which expression can be simplified to find the slope of the line of best-fit in the scatterplot below?
malfutka [58]

\frac{134-35}{16-4} is the correct answer and this expression can be simplified to find the slope of the line of best-fit in the scatterplot below by using the the slope equation : \frac{Y_{2} - Y_{1}}{X_{2} - X_{1}}.

What is Slope of the Line?

The slope of the line is the measure of its steepness and direction. Without using a compass, determining the slope of lines in a coordinate plane can help predict whether the lines are parallel, perpendicular, or none at all.

Any two distinct points on a line can be used to calculate the slope of that line. The slope of a line formula computes the "vertical change" to "horizontal change" ratio between two distinct points on a line. In this article, we will learn about the slope-finding method and its applications.
