The firm's net income is $114,045,330.

Total Asset Turnover = Sales / Assets

or, 1.39 = Sales / $820,470

Sales = $820,470 × 1.39 = $1,140,453.3

Now,

Equity Multiplier

= Assets / Equity

= (Debt + Equity) / Equity

= (2.8 + 1) / 1

= 3.8

(Debt equity ratio has been used here)

As per Dupont Analysis,

ROE = Profit margin x Asset Turnover x Equity Multiplier

or, 0.34% = Profit Margin x 1.39 x 3.8

Profit Margin = 5.282%

Profit Margin = Net Income / Sales x 100

5.282% = Net Income / $1,140,453.3 x 100

Thus, Net Income = $114,045,330

Net income is an amount which an individual or business makes after deducting costs, taxes, and allowances. Thus, net income is what the business has left over after all its expenses.

eimsori [14]

Answer:

Increase in sales= 188.46 million

Explanation:

Giving the following information:

Sales= 350 million

Fixed assests= 270 million

Used capacity= 65%

We need to determine the increase in sales that would occupy the entire capacity.

If 350 is 65% then:

Full capacity= (100*350)/65= 538.46 million

Now, the increase in sales:

Increase in sales= 538.46 - 350= 188.46 million

NNADVOKAT [17]

Answer:

Direct labour cost budget= $1,413,000.

Explanation:

The direct labor cost budget is a function of the production product budget. The quantity of the product budgeted to be produced would determine the labor cost budget.

Direct labour budget = Production budget × standard hours × standard labour rate per hour

Standard hour = 6/60 =0.1 (note there are 60 minutes in an hour)

Direct labour budget = 785,000 × 0.1× 18 = $1,413,000.

Direct labour cost budget= $1,413,000.

snow_tiger [21]

The given excerpt is an example of predatory pricing .

Explanation:

Predatory pricing is a pricing strategy that identifies a product or service at a very low price, aimed at new customers or at taking competitors off the market or at creating barriers for new potential competitors.

However, it is hard to prosecute the claims of this activity because defendants make an argument that low prices are part of normal trade instead of a concerted attempt to disrupt the economy. Yet predatory prices are always not efficient because of the problems of restoring lost revenue yet removing rivals effectively.

Consumers may benefit from lower prices in the shorter term, but they will suffer if the strategy succeeds in reducing competition, and prices increase and choice decreases.
