The fact that African Americans now have equal rights to white people has an impact on us. For instance, the nineteenth amendment grants the right to vote to those who are 18 years old and to African-American men. With the passage of this amendment, slavery will never occur again in our nation.

We as Americans today have been impacted by the 13th, 14th, 15th, and 19th amendments. The modifications are as follows:

13th: Slavery was abolished in the United States.

14th: All American citizens were given legal protection.

15th: Male African Americans received the right to vote.

19th: women received the right to vote.
