To make it an improper fraction, you should most likely reciprocate it. Since we have a mixed number, you will multiply the whole number and the denominator, then add the numerator. 9 x 10 + 1 = 91. The denominator stays the same. 91 over 10. 91/10 is an improper fraction, because the numerator is bigger than the denominator.
Hope this helped, but Im not amazing at math

What is the range of the function y = x 2?
garik1379 [7]

Answer:

The range of the function y = x2 is all real numbers, y, such that y ≥ 0. In the case of the function y = x2, the domain consists of all real numbers, because there is no number that, when plugged in for x into x2, would create an undefined expression.

Justin wants to cover the top of a circular swimming pool to keep insects out of the pool. If the diameter of the pool is 20 fee
evablogger [386]

Answer: The area is approximately 314 ft^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Well if the diameter is 20  feet then the radius will be 10 because the radius is half the diameter, and to find the area of a circle, you use the formula

A= \pi r^{2}  where A is the area and pi times the radius squared.

We will represent pi by 3.14

A= 3.14* 10^2

A= 3.14 * 100

A = 314

Cindy claims that 4x/12x= 1/3. Enter a whole number that supports Cindy's claim, and then enter a whole number that does not sup
galina1969 [7]
A whole number that would support Cindys claim would be 2 because if u do the ,math it would be 8/24 which would be .333 repeating which is simplify to 1/3 and i do not know a number that would not work.

Find the x-intercept of the parabola with vertex (1,-13) and y-intercept (0,-11).
Advocard [28]
1. find equation

general solutions are:
y = a x^{2} +bx +c \\ \\ \frac{dy}{dx} = 2ax +b

for P(0,-11)

-11 = 0a + 0b +c ⇒c = -11

for p(1,-13)
-13 = 1a + 1b -11 \\ a+b = -2

and

0 = 2a + b \\ b = -2a

solve for a and b:
a - 2a = -2 \\ a = 2 \\ b = -4

the total equation is now:

y = 2 x^{2} -4x -11

To find the x-intercept set y=0 and solve for x

0 = 2 x^{2} -4x-11
