The theme of growing up in The Quest of the Silver Fleece is developed throughout the text because the boy starts out D. excited to be on a new adventure but still feels lost at the end.

What is the theme of The Quest of the Silver Fleece?

The theme of The Quest of the Silver Fleece reviewed the difficulties posed by racism and exploitation.

In W.E.B. Du Bois' The Quest of the Silver Fleece, the swamp represents freedom, wildness, joyfulness, and love, but also includes fear, jealousy, ignorance, and poverty fostered by racism, slavery, and the tenant.

At first, Bles was excited to be in Washington and mingle with the politicians but he did not find peace of mind there. He was forced to return to reality represented by Zora, his swamp girl since he could not embrace the corrupt culture of politics and corporations.

Thus, we can conclude that the theme is about how the boy starts out excited but feels lost at the end.

PLEASE HELP FAST!!!
grigory [225]

Answer:

x = 9

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the figures are similar then the ratios of corresponding sides are equal, that is

\frac{x-1}{6} = \frac{16}{12} ( cross- multiply )

12(x - 1) = 96 ( divide both sides by 12 )

x - 1 - 8 ( add 1 to both sides )

x = 9
