What is the shortest possible time in which a bacterium could travel a distance of 8.4cm across a Petri dish at a constant speed

of 3.5 mm/s?

8.4 cm = 84 mm

If the little bug travels in a straight line and never stops,
then the time it takes him is just  (distance)/(speed).

       (84mm) / (3.5 mm/sec) = 24 seconds

At the end of the adiabatic expansion, the gas fills a new volume V₁, where V₁ > V₀. Find W, the work done by the gas on the
tino4ka555 [31]

Answer:

W=\frac{p_0V_0-p_1V_1}{\gamma-1}

Explanation:

An adiabatic process refers to one where there is no exchange of heat.

The equation of state of an adiabatic process is given by,

pV^{\gamma}=k

where,

p = pressure

V = volume

\gamma=\frac{C_p}{C_V}

k = constant

Therefore, work done by the gas during expansion is,

W=\int\limits^{V_1}_{V_0} {p} \, dV

=k\int\limits^{V_1}_{V_0} {V^{-\gamma}} \, dV

=\frac{k}{\gamma -1} (V_0^{1-\gamma}-V_1^{1-\gamma})\\

(using pV^{\gamma}=k )

=\frac{p_0V_0-p_1V_1}{\gamma-1}

The velocity of money is a the same thing as the long-term growth rate of the money supply. b the money supply divided by nomina
tia_tia [17]

b the money supply divided by nominal GDP

Explanation:

The velocity of money is nothing but the ratio of GDP and money supply. In other words, velocity of money also tells us the rate at which money is being exchanged in a country. The constant velocity says that the growth rate in the economy is zero. Velocity of money depends on the rate at which money is spent for finished goods and services per unit time. It is more when spending of money is more and it decreases when people spend less money. The total amount of money that is in circulation or that exists in a country is know as money supply.

A force of 6n is exerted on a cart that is carrying a rock and produces an acceleration of 2 m/s2. if the cart has a mass of 1 k
Alex777 [14]
F=ma
m=f/a
m=6N/2 m per secon per second
m=3 kg.
If the cart is 1 kg then 3kg-1kg is 2kg.
The mass of the rock is 2kg.

An object has a mass of 8.00 kg. what is the gravitational force of the object on earth
KonstantinChe [14]

When a mass of 8 kg is located on the Earth's surface, the magnitude of each of
the gravitational forces attracting the mass and the Earth toward each other is

       (mass) x (acceleration of gravity on Earth) =

      (8.0 kg) x (9.81 m/s²) =

                78.48 kg-m/s²  =  <em>78.48 newtons  </em>(about 17 pounds 10.2 ounces)
