1.Diprotic acid release two H⁺ ions whereas triprotic acid release three H⁺ ions.

2. Suppose the formula of triprotic acid is H3A.

Ionization equations:

H₃A + H₂O ⇄ H₂A⁻ + H₃O⁺

H₂A⁻ + H₂O ⇄ HA²⁻ + H₃O⁺

HA²⁻ + H₂O ⇄ A³⁻ + H₃O⁺

3.  Indicator is used to locate the end point in traditional titration. But, no need to use an indicator in pH titration because sudden pH change indicate the end point.

4. Equivalence point is the point in titration at which the amount of titrant added is just enough to completely neutralize the analyte solution.

5. pKa is negative log of Ka. The pKa-values of the amino acid are decided from the overall titration graph. To determine pKa1 and pKa2, find the extent on the graphs 1/2 manner between the 2 equivalence factor volumes determined from the accelerated spinoff curves. The pH at this factor is in the titration is equal to pKa2.

1. If 20 moles of HCl was placed in 40 liters of an
anastassius [24]

Answer:

A) 0.50 M

Explanation:

The computation of the number of molarity of the NaOH is given below:

As we know that

Molarity = Moles ÷ liters

where

Moles is 20

And, the liters is 40

So, the molarity is

= 20 ÷ 40

= 0.50 M

hence, the molarity of the NaOH  solution is 0.50 M

Therefore the A option is correct

Which of the following is NOT correct about elements?
Lynna [10]

Answer: B. Elements are represented by chemical formulas.

Elements are pure substances, which means that they cannot be broken down into simpler substances. The element is the most basic substance that exists, breaking it down further means breaking it down into protons, neutrons, and electrons, which is no longer a substance.

Elements have chemical properties that allow them to form different types of bonds with other elements.

However, elements *alone* are not represented by their chemical formulas. Only chemical bonds or ions are represented by a chemical formula.

An alka-seltzer tablet contains 324 mg of aspirin (c9h8o4), 1904 mg of nahco3 and, 1000. mg of citric acid (h3c6h5o7). (the last
kondor19780726 [428]

Each alka-seltzer tablet contains 324 mg of aspirin. Three alka-seltzer tablet contains (3 x 324)mg= 972 mg of aspirin= 0.972 g of aspirin.

Molecular formula of aspirin is C₉H₈O₄. Molar mass of aspirin is (9 x 12)+(8 x 1)+(4 x 16) g/ mol= 180 g/mol.

180 g of aspirin contains 1 mole of aspirin molecules i.e, 6.023 X 10²³ number of aspirin molecules.  So, three alka-seltzer tablet that is 0.972 g of aspirin contains (0.972 X 6.023 X 10²³)/180 =3.25 X 10²¹ number of aspirin molecules.
