A percentage is a way to describe a part of a whole. The number of baskets that Manny made more than Jeff is 36.

What are Percentages?

A percentage is a way to describe a part of a whole. such as the fraction ¼ can be described as 0.25 which is equal to 25%.

To convert a fraction to a percentage, convert the fraction to decimal form and then multiply by 100 with the '%' symbol.

Given that Jeff made 8 baskets out of his first 20 tries. Therefore, the percentage of baskets that Jeff is able to make is,

Percentage = 8/20 × 100% = 40%

The number of baskets that Jeff will be able to make out of 150 tries is,

Number of baskets = 40% of 150 = 60

Also, given that Manny made 18 baskets out of his first 25 tries. Therefore, the percentage of baskets that Jeff is able to make is,

Percentage = 18/25 × 100% = 72%

The number of baskets that Jeff will be able to make out of 150 tries is,

Number of baskets = 72% of 150 = 108

Now, the difference between the number of baskets that are made is,

Difference = 108 - 72 = 36

Hence, the number of baskets that Manny made more than Jeff is 36.

Which variable is most important to the following problem? At 9:00 a.m., a wind speed of 20 miles per hour was recorded. After t
slavikrds [6]

Answer:

option-C

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given

At 9:00 a.m., a wind speed of 20 miles per hour was recorded

So, initial wind speed =20 miles per hour

Each measurement showed an increase in wind speed of 3 miles per hour

The strongest wind was recorded at 4:00 p.m

so,

top wind speed = initial wind speed + ( total number of hours between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm)*(change in wind speed)

top wind speed = 20 mph+(16-9)*3

=20+7\times 3

=41 miles per hour

Since, change in wind speed and initial wind speed are constant

but the number of hours it took for the wind speed to reach its minimum for the day can be changed

so, most important variables is

the number of hours it took for the wind speed to reach its minimum for the day can be changed

Sixty seven percent of the employees in a company have managerial positions, and 58 percent of the employees in the company have
Kazeer [188]

Answer: The proportion of employees who either have MBAs or are managers are 0.58.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Probability of employees having managerial positions = 67%

Probability of employees having MBA degrees = 58%

Probability of managers having MBA degrees = 67%

So, using probability formulas, we get that

P(A\cup B)=P(A)+P(B)-P(A\cap B)\\\\P(A\cup B)=0.67+0.58-0.67\\\\P(A\cup B)=0.58

Hence, the proportion of employees who either have MBAs or are managers are 0.58.
