For starters, a plant cell is able to produce its own glucose through the process of photosynthesis because the plant cell has chloroplasts that take in sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water and turn it into glucose and oxygen. Then, using the glucose, the plant cell is able to break down the glucose in the mitochondria mainly and produce fuel for the cell (adenosinetriphosphate/ATP).
