Using the formula in model 1, choose the correct answers for the total amount and amount of interest earned in the following com
DIA [1.3K]

The total amount is $ 1015.82 and interest amount is $ 165.82

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

<em><u>The formula for amount when interest is compounded annually is:</u></em>

\mathrm{A}=P\left(1+r}\right)^{n}

Where,

"A" is the total amount

"P" is the principal

"r" is the rate of interest in decimal form

"n" is the number of years

<em><u>From given, $850 at 2% for 9 years, compounded annually</u></em>

P = 850

t = 9 years

r = 2 \% = \frac{2}{100} = 0.02

<em><u>Substituting the given values we get,</u></em>

A = 850(1+0.02)^9\\\\A = 850 \times 1.02^9\\\\A = 850 \times 1.1950\\\\A = 1015.82

Thus total amount is $ 1015.82

Interest amount = Total amount - principal

Interest amount = 1015.82 - 850

Interest amount = 165.82

Thus total amount earned is $ 1015.82 and interest amount is $ 165.82

I don’t understand how to find the dimension,<br> Need help :c
slava [35]

Width = W

Length = 2 times the width plus 3 feet = 2W + 3

Area of triangle A = L * W

A = W (2W + 3)

20 = 2W^2 + 3W

2W^2 + 3W - 20 = 0

(W + 4) (2W - 5) = 0

W + 4 = 0; W = - 4 (width cannot be negative, excluded)

2W - 5 = 0

2W = 5

W = 2.5

L = 2W + 3 = 2(2.5) + 3 = 8

Answer:

Width = 2.5 feet and Length = 8 feet

Hope it helps.

[(2x)^x (2x)^2x]^1/x<br>how do you simplify this?
Monica [59]
Note that [ (2x)^x ]^(1/x) = 2x, and that [ (2x)^(2x) ]^(1/x) = (2x)^2 = 4x^2

Multiplying these 2 results together, we get (2x)(4x^2) = 8x^3 (answer)

Someone answer this please
lions [1.4K]

Answer:

1,334.5 \:  {cm}^{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Height of the cylinder h = 17 cm

Radius of the cylinder r = 5 cm

V_{cylinder}  = \pi {r}^{2} h \\  \\  = 3.14 \times  {(5)}^{2}  \times 17 \\  \\  = 3.14 \times 25 \times 17 \\  \\V_{cylinder}  = 1,334.5 \:  {cm}^{3}

Brainliest Award +100 Points for the first correct answer.
katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

min = 64.2m ; max = 86.2m

Step-by-step explanation:

38.25m \leq AC < 38.35m&#10;\\ 11.5deg \leq B < 12.5deg&#10;\\ 19.5deg \leq D < 20.5deg

d_{min} = BC_{LB} - CD_{UB}&#10;\\ \\ d_{min} = \frac{AC_{LB}}{tan(B)_{UB}} - \frac{AC_{UB}}{tan(D)_{LB}}&#10;\\ \\ d_{min} = \frac{38.25}{tan(12.5)} - \frac{38.35}{tan(19.5)}&#10;\\ \\ d_{min} = 64.2m (3sf)

d_{max} = BC_{UB} - CD_{LB}&#10;\\ \\ d_{max} = \frac{AC_{UB}}{tan(B)_{LB}} - \frac{AC_{LB}}{tan(D)_{UB}}&#10;\\ \\ d_{max} = \frac{38.35}{tan(11.5)} - \frac{38.25}{tan(20.5)}&#10;\\ \\ d_{max} = 86.2m (3sf)
