Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

To form a proportion, you need two equal ratios.

Divide the numerator by the denominator of all fractions.

Any two fractions that are equal are a proportion.

A.

4/9 = 0.4444...

9/4 = 2.25

Fractions are not equal. Not a proportion.

B.

4/10 = 0.4

10/25 = 0.4

Fractions are equal. Proportion

C.

4/11 = 0.363636...

6/13 = 0.46153846...

Fractions are not equal. Not a proportion.

D.

I can't read the fractions, but do the same I did above.

Divide each numerator by the denominator and compare the decimals. If they are equal its a proportion. If theya re not equal, it is not a proportion.

Honey and Money are twin brothers. Mother wants to equally divide a rectangular shaped cake of 5cm wide and 6cm long. Find the l
tatuchka [14]

Answer:

Length of rectangular cake = 5 cm

Breadth of rectangular cake = 6 cm

Area of rectangle = 5 cm × 6 cm =30 cm²

If cake is equally distributed between Honey and Money, then areas of two parts should be equal.

So, Amount of cake that Honey and money got \frac{30}{2}=15

Share of each (Honey and Money)=15 cm²

So, if the third cake if it was cut diagonally ,the cake must have some height.

Let the height of cake be H.

So, Height of third cake =\sqrt{L^2+B^2+H^2}\\\\=\sqrt{5^2+6^2+H^2}\\\\=\sqrt{61+H^2}

If , H=0 that is height is negligible having 0 thickness,

Then the Length of third cake, which is divided into two parts=√61=7.81 cm

Write these numbers from least to greatest -0.615, -5/8, -0.62
inna [77]
Well -5/8 as a decimal would be -0.625.
So, the order would be -0.615 -0.62(0) and then -5/8 (or -0.625).
You could easily search up 5/8 as a decimal :)

If the length of a rectangle is a two-digit number with identical digits and the width is 1/10 the length and the perimeter is 2
Oksanka [162]

If the length of a rectangle is a two-digit number with identical digits and the width is 1/10 the length and the perimeter is 2 times the area of the rectangle, what is the the length and the width

Solution:

Let the length of rectangle=x

Width of rectangle=x/10

Perimeter is 2(Length+Width)

= 2(x+x/10)

Area of Rectangle= Length* Width=x*x/10

As, Perimeter=2(Area)

So,2(x+x/10)=2(x*x/10)

Multiplying the equation with 10, we get,

2(10x+x)=2x²

Adding Like terms, 10x+x=11x

2(11x)=2x^2

22x=2x²

2x²-22x=0

2x(x-11)=0

By Zero Product property, either x=0

or, x-11=0

or, x=11

So, Width=x/10=11/10=1.1

Checking:

So, Perimeter=2(Length +Width)=2(11+1.1)=2*(12.1)=24.2

Area=Length*Width=11*1.1=12.1

Hence, Perimeter= 2 Area

As,24.2=2*12.1=24.2

So, Perimeter=2 Area

So, Answer:Length of Rectangle=11 units

Width of Rectangle=1.1 units
