Answer:

114 FT

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter formula: P = 2 (l + w)
P = 2 (40 + 17)
Use distributive property or PEMDAS

Distributive property: P = 80 + 34
P = 114

PEMDAS: P = 2(57)
P = 114

You get 114 either way

Find an equation of the line with the slope m=6 that passes through the point (4,4). Write the equation in the form Ax + By = C
Ainat [17]

Answer:

Y - 6x = - 20

Step-by-step explanation:

Y = 6x + c

Substituting the value of x and y

4 = 24 + c

Subtracting 24 from both sides

C = - 20

Y = 6x - 20

Subtracting 6x from both sides

Y - 6x =- 20

Can somebody help with geometry? I need to know how to prove it to be a rectangle. I already proved parallelogram.
Vanyuwa [196]
I'm not sure how to give you solid proof, like an equation or something, but you can see that out of the four coordinates, two of them have the y-value of 4 and two of them have the y-value of 2. Also, there is 1.5 in between each x-value that is paired with the same y-value... if that makes sense. So for (0.5, 2) and (3, 2), there is 1.5 in between 0.5 and 3. I hope this helps! Sorry it's a bit of a weird answer

Find the value of two numbers if their sum is 32 and their difference is 14.
OverLord2011 [107]
23 and 9 are the two numbers

Explanation:

x = one number
y = other number

x + y = 32 {sum of two numbers is 32
x - y = 14 {difference is 14}
-----------
2x = 46 {added the two equations together}
x = 23 {divided both sides by 2}

x + y = 32 {top equation}
23 + y = 32 {substituted 23, in for x, into top equation}
y = 9 {subtracted 23 from both sides}

23 and 9 are the two numbers
