In the human digestive system, particularly in the Esophagus digestion can not occur.

Esophagus, is a muscle tube that transports the unfinished meal from the mouth to the stomach for further absorption. As a result, the esophagus is one area of the digestive tract where digestion is not completed.

- Tube 1: HCl breaks down salivary amylase

- Tube 2: no digestive enzyme, no bile

- Tube 3: no pancreatic enzymes

- Tube 4: boiling denatures salivary amylase and absence of Pepsin.

Egg digestion occurs in the small intestine not in the Esophagus.

Pepsin digests egg white.

  • Pepsin is a peptidase, a special enzyme with the function to degrade proteins into amino acids. Like all enzymes, pepsin is also a protein.
  • The small intestine, where the majority of protein digestion takes place, receives the chyme from the stomach that contains the broken-down egg particles. More enzymes are present in the digestive juice the pancreas secretes, which further breaks down the protein fragments.

Which is a factor that prevents us from finding Precambrian fossils?
Alisiya [41]

Answer:

The correct answer is option C. "Most rocks from that era are deeply buried".

Explanation:

The Precambrian is the earliest era of Earth's history, predating the emergence of life during the Cambrian Period. Even tough it is the earliest era of Earth, the Precambrian era represents 88% of all geological time, which makes evident that life is relatively new in comparison to the Earth's total geological time. Most rocks from Precambrian era are deeply buried, result of diverse phenomena in the tectonic plates along history. This make most rocks inaccessible and prevents the finding of Precambrian fossils.
