Bacteria in the soil are also decomposers. Imagine what would happen if there were no decomposers. Wastes and the remains of dead organisms would pile up and the nutrients within the waste and dead organisms would not be released back into the ecosystem. Producers would not have enough nutrients.

A wire of length L is wound into a square coil with 167 turns and used in a generator that operates at 60.0 Hz and 120 V rms val
Mrac [35]

Answer:

171.43m

Explanation:

First, define emf( electromotive force )-is the unit electric charge imparted by an energy source. In this case the generator.

The peak emf is:

E_p_e_a_k=\sqrt2(E_m_a_x)=\sqrt(2\times 120V)=170V

Substituting w=2\pi f and the value for peaf E gives:

Total length=4\sqrt {\frac{NE_p_e_a_k}{Bw}=4\sqrt{\frac{167\times 170}{0.041T\times 2pi \times 60.0Hz}

=171.43m

Hence, wire's length is 171.43m

Suppose a cheetah running at a velocity of 5 m/s east slows down. After 15 seconds, the cheetah has reached a velocity of 25 m/s
Darina [25.2K]

Answer:

1.33m/s²

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Initial velocity  = 5m/s

Final velocity  = 25m/s

Time taken  = 15seconds

Unknown:

Acceleration  = ?

Solution:

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity with time.

  Acceleration  = \frac{v - u}{t}

  v is the final velocity

  u is the initial velocity

  t is the time taken

 So;

    Acceleration  = \frac{25 - 5}{15}    = 1.33m/s²

A professional quarterback throws a 0.40 kg football. what is the force of weight?
Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

3.92N

Explanation:

Force= mass×accelerarion due gravity

But mass= 0.40kg

acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/s^2

Force = 0.40×9.8

Force=3.92N

How fast must an object move before its length appears to be contracted to one-fourth its proper length? (Give your answer in te
Tresset [83]

Answer:

<em>0.97c</em>

<em></em>

Explanation:

From the relativistic equation for length contraction, we have

l = l_{0}\sqrt{1 - \beta }

where

l is the final length of the object

l_{0} is the original length of the object before contraction

β = v^{2} /c^2

where v is the speed of the object

c is the speed of light in free space = 3 x 10^8 m/s

The equation can be re-written as

l/l_{0} = \sqrt{1 - \beta }

For the length to contract to one-fourth of the proper length, then

l/l_{0} = 1/4

substituting into the equation, we'll have

1/4 = \sqrt{1 - \beta }

substituting for β, we'll have

1/4 = \sqrt{1 - v^2/c^2 }

squaring both side of the equation, we'll have

1/16 = 1 - v^2/c^2

v^2/c^2 = 1 - 1/16

v^2/c^2 = 15/16

square root both sides of the equation, we have

v/c = 0.968

v = <em>0.97c</em>
