States like California, Florida, Arizona and Texas it is growing in other states, including Nevada.

Recycled water, sometimes referred to as greywater or repurified water, is utilized for a number of advantageous tasks, including drinking, industrial activities, flushing toilets, and irrigation of outdoor areas. Water treatment technologies have developed to the point where this wastewater can be safely recycled and used for various purposes after being first created to protect human and environmental health. States created laws to assist and promote increased water reusing. Nonpotable water is water that cannot be used for drinking but can be used for other things like flushing the toilet, irrigating a lawn, and controlling dust. Purple pipes are used to transmit nonpotable recycled water, which denotes lower-quality recovered water. Water that is fit for human consumption is referred to as potable water.
