No doubt, when much time is given studying another subject like biology, he will get more scores in biology while the other subject he spent less time on will lower score as this will be at the recieving end.

In order to perform excellently well in one's academics, it is very important to learn how to maintain balance while studying subjects.

Sometimes, students fail a particular subject not because it's difficult but they deprive it of own study attention to another subject because they believe spending time with other subject more will help them not fail it
