Selling bonds to banks methods of government deficit finance is MOST likely to crowd out private investment

What is crowding out of private investment?

Definition: A situation when increased interest rates lead to a reduction in private investment spending such that it dampens the initial increase of total investment spending is called crowding out effect.

How government deficits can crowd out private investment?

If budget deficits are to be financed by borrowing, interest rates must rise so that capital markets can reach equilibrium. High interest rates, in turn, result in a decreased investment, hence the crowding-out effect.

What does it mean for banks to sell bonds?

When a central bank buys bonds, money is flowing from the central bank to individual banks in the economy, increasing the money supply in circulation. When a central bank sells bonds, then money from individual banks in the economy is flowing into the central bank—reducing the quantity of money in the economy.

An initial time study was done on a process with the following results (in minutes). Based on the data obtained so far, assumi
kiruha [24]

Answer: 24.60 minutes (2dp)

Explanation:

The question is essentially asking that we find the Standard Time it takes to serve a customer.

To do this we would have to calculate the averages of the different elements and then use this to find the normal time which we can then use to find the Standard Time.

Element 1

= (3 + 4 + 4 + 3 + 3)/5

= 3.4

Element 2

= ( 9 + 8 + 10 + 11 + 10)/5

= 9.6

Element 3

= ( 7 + 8 + 6 + 7 + 8)/5

= 7.2

We then calculate the normal times by multiplying each of the individual means with their performance ratings.

That would be,

Element A

= 3.4 * 70%

= 2.38

Element B

= 9.6 * 110%

= 10.56

Element C

= 7.2 * 120%

= 8.64

We then add up the normal times to get the total normal time

= 2.38 + 10.56 + 8.64

= 21.58 minutes

Now we can solve for the standard time using this formula,

Standard time = Normal time (1+Allowance factor)

= 21.58 ( 1 + 0.14)

= 24.6012 minutes

= 24.60 minutes (2dp)

The time per unit customer served is 24.60 minutes.

If you need any clarification please do comment. Cheers.

Suppose, that after a successful career, a worker retired precisely as planned with precisely the amount saved that they intende
IgorC [24]

Answer: Yes it is

Explanation:

The Permanent Income Hypothesis posits that human expenditure in the short term is based on the amount of income they expect to get as income over the long term.

If a person for instance, knows that they will receive a pay cut at the end of the year, they will probably spend less today to survive the pay cut.

Same goes for the worker in this scenario. They know that the amount they saved is all they have now and into the future so they are adjusting their expenses to ensure they survive on that saving.

Answer:

B

Explanation:

Janice Coleman is a team leader at Jackson Equipment. She has been promoted several times over the past five years and her performance evaluations are outstanding. One of the vice presidents at Jackson has been very friendly to Janice and has served as her mentor. He has also been asking her to go out with him for the past 2 years. She has declined and the vice president has recently suggested that she could be an area supervisor if he became her advocate with the management team. He has indicated he would be willing to do so if they began a personal relationship. Janice does not agree to the relationship and is promoted to area supervisor. Janice has filed a complaint of sexual harassment with the EEOC. Janice has a case for atmosphere of harassment.

Even though Janice got the promotion the vice president created an atmosphere of harrasment by trying to give her a promotion with a condition. His intentiins is what matters here as well as giving her a condition for a promotion even though she eventually got the position. He stirred up the atmosphere for harrasment.
