The acceleration is obtained as 6.1 m/s^2 while the distance is obtained as 79.4 m.

What is the acceleration?

The term acceleration is defined as the rate of change of velocity with time. Now we know that the acceleration ca be determined by the use of the formula;

a = v - u/t

a = acceleration

v = final velocity

u = initial velocity

t = time taken

Thus;

a = 37 - 20/2.8

a = 6.1 m/s^2

Given that;

v^2 = u^2 + 2as

s = v^2 - u^2/2a

s = (37)^2 - (20)^2/2(6.1)

s = 969/12.2

s= 79.4 m

However, this goal could be difficult to achieve if school ends in just a few months and you are not already training. A more reasonable goal might be to be able to run a mile in the amount of time considered healthy for your age group.

Importance of Physical Education

In addition to staying active, making healthy choices about diet and exercise is important to overall personal and long-term health. Long-term health passed down through generations can also promote healthy family lifestyles.

Fitness
