Short Constructed Response: A projectile is shot horizontally off a cliff at a speed of 30 m/s,

Physics
1 answer:
Anarel [89]2 years ago

Horizontal range of the projectile is 55.41 m..

Maximum height of the projectile is 4.76 m.

Given parameters:

Initial speed of the projectile; u = 30 m/s.

Time of flight; T = 2 s.

We have to find,

Horizontal range of the projectile; R =?

Maximum height of the projectile; H =?

We know that,

Time of flight; T = 2u sinθ/g

⇒ 2 = (2×30× sinθ/10)

⇒ sinθ = 1/3

⇒θ = 19°.

So, Horizontal range of the projectile; R = u²sin2θ/g

= (30² × sin (2×19°)/10)

= 55.41 m.

So, answer of part A is 55.41 m.

Maximum height of the projectile; H = u²sin²θ/2g

= 30² × sin²19°/(2×10)

= 4.76 m.

So, answer of part B is 4.76 m.

sergejj [24]

Answer:

Force acts vertically downward

Explanation:

Solution:-

The force is downward. The field lines point from the north pole to the south pole, or left to right. We will apply the use of right-hand rule. Your fingers point in the direction of the current (away from you). Curl them in the direction of the field (to the right). Your thumb points in the direction of the force(downward).

Express the length of a marathon run of
26 mi 385 yd in meters.
Answer in units of m.
hjlf

Answer:

1 mi = 5280 ft * 12 in/ft = 63360 in

A convenient conversion factor (to remember) is 1 m = 39.37 in

63360 in / (39.37 in / m) = 1609.3 m

26 mi + 285 m = 26 * 1609.3 + 385 = 42,228 m

Calculate the net force on the right charge due to the other two. Enter a positive value if the force is directed to the right a
lbvjy [14]

Answer:

Answer:

A. - 0.017N. It acts to the left.

B. - 0.043N. It acts to the left.

C. 0.060N. It acts to the right.

Explanation:

A. For the +65μC charge, we consider it to be the origin. Hence, the two other charges are on the +x axis.

The net coulombs force on the charge is

F = [KQ(1)Q(2)]/(r^2) + [KQ(1)Q(3)]/(r^2)

Where K = Coloumbs constant =

Q(1) = charge on the leftmost side.

Q(2) = charge in the middle.

Q(3) = charge on the rightmost side.

F = [(8.988 × 10^9)×(65×10^-6)×(48×10^-6)]/(40^2) + [(8.988 × 10^9)×(-95×10^-6)×(65×10^-6)]/(40^2)

F = 0.01753 - 0.03469

F = -0.017N

It has a negative sign, hence, it acts to the left.

B. For the +48μC charge, we consider it to be the origin. Hence, the leftmost charge is on the - x axis and the rightmost charge is on the +x axis.

The net coulombs force on the charge is

F = [-KQ(1)Q(3)]/(r^2) + [KQ(2)Q(3)]/(r^2)

F = [-(8.988×10^9)×(65×10^-6)×(48×10^-6)]/(40^2) + [(8.988 × 10^9)×(48×10^-6)×(-95×10^-6)]/(40^2)

F = -0.017 - 0.02562

F = - 0.043N

It has a negative sign, hence, it acts to the left.

C. For the -95μC charge, we consider it to be the origin. Hence, the two other charges are on the - x axis.

The net coulombs force on the charge is

F = [-KQ(1)Q(3)]/(r^2) - [KQ(2)Q(3)]/(r^2)

F = [-(8.988×10^9)×(65×10^-6)×(-95×10^-6)]/(40^2) - [(8.988 × 10^9)×(48×10^-6)×(-95×10^-6)]/(40^2)

F = +0.03469 + 0.02562

F = +0.060N

It has a positive sign, hence, it acts to the right.

Si un movil parte del reposo logrando una aceleracion de 5 metros por segundo al cuadrado durante 8 segundos calcular la velocid
Komok [63]

Answer:

Velocidad final, V = 40 m/s

Explanation:

Dados los siguientes datos;

Aceleración = 5 m/s²

Velocidad inicial = 0 m/s (ya que comienza desde el reposo)

Tiempo = 8 segundos

Para encontrar la velocidad final, usaríamos la primera ecuación de movimiento;

V = U + at

Dónde;

 • V es la velocidad final.
 • U es la velocidad inicial.
 • a es la aceleración.
 • t es el tiempo medido en segundos.

Sustituyendo en la fórmula, tenemos;

V = 0 + 5*8

V = 0 + 40

V = 40

Velocidad final, V = 40 m/s
