The graduated cylinder used to measure the volume of the liquid.

  • The graduated cylinder of different size and used to measure with different degree of accuracy.
  • The graduated words means the measurement marks on the cylinder. these are series of lines and these lines are marked with numbers so that we can get the exact value .
  • some lines are marked with numbers and some intermediate line are do not marked with numbers.
  • small graduated cylinders have narrow measurement intervals but have great accuracy
  • so there are bigger marks and smaller marks , between the two bigger mark there are five smaller marks , count the number of smaller division for example the smaller divisions are marked with 1ml , 2 ml, 3 ml and so on .
  • The five division number line are counted as one number line and measurement intervals are marked by 1 and divided by five to the next number line.
  • that means 1/5 = 0.2 ml
  • so the sample graduated cylinder measure accurately to 0.2 ml.

The sample can easily measured by using the graduated cylinder.

In cars, ethylene glycol, C2H6O2, is used as a coolant and antifreeze. A mechanic fills a radiator with 7.1 kg of ethylene glyco
WITCHER [35]
Based on the given molecular formula, the molar mass of ethylene glycol is 62 g/mol. We solve for the number of moles of the solute,
                                   n = (7.1 kg)(1000 g/ 1 kg) / 62g/mol  = 114.52 mol
Then, we divide this value by the given mass of the water in kg
                             m = (114.52 mol) / 1.2 kg = 95.43 m
Thus, the molality of the substance is approximately equal to 95.43 m.

Is Sodium Hydroxide an element, mixture, or compound?

An example would be placing sodium (Na) in water (H2O). Sodium creates a new chemical bond producing a new substance with new physical and chemical properties known as sodium hydroxide (NaOH). So, if a new chemical formula must be written after two or more substances combine it is not a mixture.

Why can't helium bond with hydrogen?
Iteru [2.4K]
Hydrogen and Helium cannot bond together. Put aside the inertness of helium (or all noble gases), bond formation is only favored when the final state of the two elements is more stable than their initial state. ... Helium compounds has some predictions though none of them contain only those two elements.
