The measure of ∠STU = ∠VWX = 90°

Hence, ∠STU≅∠VWX.

What is Perpendicular line?

Two lines that meet or intersect each other at right angles is called a Perpendicular line.

Given that;

TU ⊥ ST

WX ⊥ VW

Now,

When TU ⊥ ST

Then by the image,

∠STU = 90°

When, WX ⟂ VW.

Then by image,

∠VWX = 90°

Hence, The measure of ∠STU = ∠VWX = 90° (right angle)

So, ∠STU ≅ ∠VWX.

4 hours 30 minutes = ? Minutes
tigry1 [53]
The answer is:  " 270 minutes " .
__________________________________________________________
        →  There are "270 minutes" in "4 hours and 30 minutes" .
__________________________________________________________
Explanation:
__________________________________________________________
Method 1):
__________________________________________________________
  Note:  60 minutes = 1 hour (exactly);

30 minutes =   ?   hr ? ;

→  (30 minutes) * (1 hr/ 60 minutes) ;

=
(30/60) hr = (3/6) hr  = (3÷3)/(6÷3) hr ;

=
" \frac{1}{2} hr " ;

or; write as:  " 0.5 hr " .
_________________________________________________________

So  "4 hours & 30 minutes" = 4 hours + 0.5 hours = 4.5 hours.

→   4.5 hours  =   ?  minutes ;

The answer is:  " 270 minutes" .  4.5 hours * \frac{60 min}{1 hr}  ;

       =  (4.5 * 60) minutes  =  " 270 minutes " .

→  The answer is:  " 270 minutes ".
___________________________________________________________
Method 2)

___________________________________________________________

    "4 hours and 30 minutes"  = <u>  ?  </u> minutes " .
___________________________________________________________

→  " 4 hours   =  <u>  ?  </u> minutes " ;

→   4 hr . * \frac{60 min}{1 hr}  =  (4 * 60) minutes  =  240 min. ;

→  There are " 240 minutes in 4 hours" .

→  To find the number of "minutes" in "4 hours and 30 minutes" ;

→  we takes the number of minutes in 4 hours—which is "240 minutes"—and add "30 minutes" to that number; as follows:

           →  " 240 minutes + 30 minutes " ;

to get:   " 270 minutes " .
_______________________________________________________

      →  There are  "270 minutes"  in  "4 hours and 30 minutes" .
_______________________________________________________

The answer is:
" 270 minutes " .

find the value of x show your work in the diagram below C is the midpoint of segment a b, a c equals 5x + 2 + CB equals 3x + 12
Dmitrij [34]

Answer:

Initial equation: 5x + 2 = 3x + 12

x = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Point C is the midpoint between A and B.

This means that:

AC = CB

We have that:

AC = 5x + 2

CB = 3x + 12

Since AC = CB, the initial equation is:

5x + 2 = 3x + 12

Now we can solve

5x + 2 = 3x + 12

5x - 3x = 12 - 2

2x = 10

x = 10/2

x = 5
