Answer : 3, 360 ways

Total number of people running the race = 16

We have three slot to be filled for first, second and third

Any person can take the first position irrespective of the arrangement

one out of the 16 people can come first

out of the 15 people remaining , one person can also come second remaining 14

out of the 14 people, one person can also come third

The number of ways the gift can be awarded = 16 x 15 x 14

The nummber of ways the prizes can be awarded = 3360 ways

Jonas made the following matrix of temperatures for the first 4 days of January.
valentinak56 [21]

Answer: The correct option is C.

Explanation:

It is given that Jonas made the following matrix of temperatures for the first 4 days of January and for the first 4 days of February.

Let the matrix A and B represents the temperatures for the first 4 days of January and February respectively.

A=\begin{bmatrix}6 & -3 & 3 & -1\end{bmatrix}

B=\begin{bmatrix}1 & -3 & -5 & -6\end{bmatrix}

The difference of January and February is defined by the matrix A-B.

To subtract two matrices, we subtract all the corresponding elements.

A-B=\begin{bmatrix}6-1 & -3+3 & 3+5 & -1+6\end{bmatrix}

A-B=\begin{bmatrix}5 & 0 & 8 & 5\end{bmatrix}

It is the option C.

Can someone explain how to do this?

So in a kite the total angles will add up to be 360°
Angles F and H are congruent (they are the same angle) so they will be the same number of °.
The formula we can use to find F and H is:
87+31+2x=360
(F and H are represented by 2x because they are the same angle twice).

Solving formula:

87+31+2x=360
118+2x=360
2x=360-118
2x=242
2x/2=242/2
x=121

So now we know both angle F and H equal 121° Hope this help! Comment if you have anymore questions
