Answer:

£25.50

Step-by-step explanation:

I don't know what you mean by multiplier but to find 85% of £30 you do:

10% of 30 which is 3

80% is 24

5% is 1.5 (to find 5% you find 10% then divide by 2)

Now add 24 and 1.5. Do not add the 10% becuase we used it to help the 80%.

24+1.5=25.5

I'm thinking of a number. When I multiply by 8 and add –1, I get –17. What's my number?
frosja888 [35]

Say that you're thinking of number x

You multiply it by 8, and have 8x

You add -1 (i.e., you subtract 1) and have 8x-1

This equals -17, so you have

8x-1=-17

Add 1 to both sides

8x=-16

Divide both sides by 8:

x=-2

So, you were thinking of -2.

Write the equation of a circle with a center at (1, 4) where a point on the circle is (4, 8).
mina [271]
Notice the picture below

\bf \textit{equation of a circle}\\\\
(x-{{ h}})^2+(y-{{ k}})^2={{ r}}^2
\qquad center\ ({{ h}},{{ k}})\qquad
radius={{ r}}\\\\
-----------------------------\\\\
\textit{distance between 2 points}\\ \quad \\
\begin{array}{lllll}
&x_1&y_1&x_2&y_2\\
%  (a,b)
&({{ 1}}\quad ,&{{ 4}})\quad
%  (c,d)
&({{ 4}}\quad ,&{{ 8}})
\end{array}\qquad
%  distance value
d = \sqrt{({{ x_2}}-{{ x_1}})^2 + ({{ y_2}}-{{ y_1}})^2}\leftarrow r

you have the center, the h,k, all  you really need is the radius "r"

5!=5*4*3*2*1;6!=6*5*4*3*2*1 What is the value of 4^4/4!
german

Answer:

\frac{32}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

If 5! is equal to 5 × 4 × 3 × 2 × 1 and 6! is equal to 6 × 5 × 4 × 3 × 2 × 1, then 4! is equal to 4 × 3 × 2 × 1. Thus, 4! = 4 × 3 × 2 × 1, which can simplify to 24. 4! = 24.

4^{4} is basically 4 × 4 × 4 × 4, which can simplify to 256.

So,  \frac{4^{4}}{4!} = \frac{256}{24}.  \frac{256}{24} can simplify to \frac{32}{3}. Therefore,  \frac{4^{4}}{4!} = \frac{32}{3}.
