Total = 200

number of students that pick peach as their favorite fruits

\begin{gathered} =\text{ }\frac{2}{5}\text{  x  200} \\ =\text{ }\frac{2\text{ x 200}}{5} \\ =\text{ }\frac{400}{5} \\ =\text{ 80  students} \end{gathered}

Part B

number of students that pick orange as their favorite fruits

\begin{gathered} =\frac{3}{8}\times200^{} \\ =\text{ }\frac{3\text{ x 200}}{8} \\ =\text{ }\frac{600}{8} \\ =\text{ 75} \end{gathered}

number of students that pick plum as their favorite fruits

\begin{gathered} =\text{ }\frac{1}{10}\text{ x  200} \\ =\text{ }\frac{200}{10} \\ =\text{ 20} \end{gathered}

There are 55 more students that chose orange rather than plum.

Given that the measure of angle 6 is 1/8 of measure of angle 4. Find the measures of these two angles if a∥b.
vredina [299]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Let ∠4 be x then ∠6 is \frac{1}{8} x

∠4 and ∠6 are same side interior angles and are supplementary, thus

x + \frac{1}{8}x = 180

Multiply through by 8 to clear the fraction

8x + x = 1440, that is

9x = 1440 ( divide both sides by 9 )

x = 160

Hence ∠4 = 160° and ∠6 = 160° ÷ 8 = 20°

Find the sum of the even integers from 20 to 50.<br><br><br>with solutions please help
alina1380 [7]

Answer: 560

Step-by-step explanation:

There are [20, 22, 24, 26, 28]: 5 even integers for each ten numbers.

The 20's set can be written as 5*20 + (2+4 + 6 + 8) = 5*20 + (20) = 120

The 30's can be written: 5*30 + 20 = 170

40's: 5*40+20 = 220

50's: 5*50+20 = 270

60's: 5*60+20 = 320

Each set is incremented by 50

We want the sets for 20, 30, and 40, plus the number 50.

(120+170+220+50) = 560

You can also do this in Excel (attached). Set the first cell to 20, the next cell below equal to the cell above plus 2. Then draw the second cell down until you've reached 50. Then sum the cells to arrive at 560.

What is the value of x
SVEN [57.7K]

Using the pythagorean theorem, the value of x would be eight. The equation of Pythagorean is

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

(C is the hypotenuse. Hypotenuse being the length of 10) Applying the lengths leaves us with the equation

36 + x^2 = 100.

You then subtract 36 from 100 to get X alone on the opposite side of the equation.

X^2 = 64

Lastly, you take the square root of 64. Therefore, the final answer will be eight.
