The equation of the line that passes through the points (-6 , 2) and (-4 , -1) is 3x + 2y = -14 .

In the question ,

two points are given as  (-6 , 2) and (-4 , -1) .

we need to find the equation of the line passing through the given points .

to find the equation First we need to find the slope  ,

slope = (-1-2)/(-4-(-6))

slope = -3/(-4 + 6)

slope = -3/2

So , the equation of the line passing through the point (-6 , 2) with slope -3/2 is

(y - 2) = (-3/2)(x - (-6))

y - 2 = (-3/2)(x + 6)

y - 2 = (-3/2)x - 9

y = (-3/2)x - 9 + 2

y = (-3/2)x - 7

2y = -3x - 14

3x + 2y = -14

Therefore , The equation of the line that passes through the points (-6 , 2) and (-4 , -1) is 3x + 2y = -14 .

The given question is incomplete , the complete question is

Write the equation for the line that passes through the point (-6, 2) and (-4,-1) , write the answer in fully reduced form .

Answer:

fourth option

Step-by-step explanation:

let t be tennis balls and g be golf balls, then

5t + 3g = 70 → (1)

2t + 5g = 85 → (2)

Multiplying (1) by 5 and (2) by - 3 will eliminate g

25t + 15g = 350 → (3)

- 6t - 15g = - 255 → (4)

Add (3) and (4) term by term to eliminate g

19t = 95 ( divide both sides by 19 )

t = 5

Substitute t = 5 into either of the 2 equations and solve for g

Substituting into (1)

5(5) + 3g = 70

25 + 3g = 70 ( subtract 25 from both sides )

3g = 45 ( divide both sides by 3 )

g = 15

Thus

$5 for tennis balls and $15 for golf balls

Answer:

A. 5:4

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the question mentions twelfths of a pie, it is easier to say each pie has 12 pieces or 36 total pieces ordered from the 3 pies. Ty ate 5 and Rob ate 15 which is 3 times more than Ty. A total of 20 pieces have been eaten from the 36 you started with. Eaten = 20 and Remaining = 16. So the ratio is 20:16 which is simplified to 5:4.

A box of granola bars has 26 bars. If 7 friends split the bars equally, how many bars will be left?
Vinvika [58]

It will be 5 because 7x3 is 21, minus 26 to 21 is 5, won't be 7x4=28 and that's greater than 26
