In a relationship between two variables x and y, the data set is a function, if every element of the domain corresponds to exactly one element of the range

that means

one element of x corresponds to exactly one element of y

In any function, there is an input value (independent variable or x variable) and there is an output value (dependent variable or y variable)

What makes a function a function? ------> one element of the input (variable x) corresponds to exactly one element of the output (variable y)

. Joan has a prescription for 100 Theophylline capsules. Joan informs the pharmacist that she only has enough money to purchase
liubo4ka [24]

Answer:

25

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 100 capsules and she can only buy 1/4

Multiply 100 * 1/4

100 * 1/4 =

100/4

25

We can check  by  calculating how many she leaves at the store

100 * 3/4 =

300 /4 = 75

The ones she bought , plus the ones she left behind should be 100 capsules

25+ 75 = 100

100 = 100

Use the distance formula to determine the distance between (-8,10) and (-6,7)
hjlf

Answer:

Distance: \sqrt{13} units

Step-by-step explanation:

The distance formula is d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2} where:

  • d is the distance between points (x_1,y_1) and (x_2,y_2)
  • (x_1,y_1) are the coordinates of the first point
  • (x_2,y_2) are the coordinates of the second point

We are given that:

  • (x_1,y_1)=(-8,10)
  • (x_2,y_2)=(-6,7)

To determine the value of our distance, d, we plug in our given information into the formula and solve for

d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

d=\sqrt{(-6-(-8))^2+(7-10)^2}

d=\sqrt{(-6+8)^2+(-3)^2}

d=\sqrt{(2)^2+(-3)^2}

d=\sqrt{4+9}

d=\sqrt{13}

Therefore, the distance between (-8,10) and (-6,7) is \sqrt{13} units.

One way a parallelograhm and a rhombos are diffrent
AnnyKZ [126]
A parallelogram does not need to have all its sides equal. It just needs two pairs of equal opposite sides. A rhombus on the other hand, has to have all its four sides equal. A rhombus is actually a special form a parallelogram. So, a rhombus is always a parallelogram but a parallelogram is not always a rhombus.
