The mass of ketamine is 66.56 ×10^{11} g.

Number of mole = Avogadro number / number of molecules

Avogadro number = 6.02 × 10^{23}

Number of molecules = 1.71 ×10^{34}

Number of mole = 1.71 ×10^{34} / 6.02 × 10^{23} = 0.28 ×10^{11}

Number of mole = given mass / molar mass

Molar mass of ketamine = 237.72 g

Number of mole = 0.28 ×10^{11}

Hence, given mass = Number of mole × molar mass

Given mass = 0.28 ×10^{11} × 237.72 g

Given mass = 66.56 ×10^{11} g

So, the mass of ketamine is 66.56 ×10^{11} g.

Avogadro number is number 6.022 × 10²³ is known as Avogadro's number or Avogadro's constant. The concept of the mole can be used to convert between mass and number of particles.

(a) Consider the reaction of hydrogen sulfide with methane, given below:
Burka [1]

Answer:

a. H2S(g)/t = 1.48 mol/s

CS2(g)/t = 0.740mol/s

H2(g)/t = 2.96mol/s

b. Ptot /t = 981torr/min

Explanation:

a. Based on the reaction:

CH4(g) + 2 H2S(g) → CS2(g) + 4 H2(g)

1 mole of CH4 reacts with 2 moles of H2S producing 1 mole of CS2 and 4 moles of 4H2

If CH4 decreases at the rate of 0.740mol/s, H2S decreases twice faster, that is 0.740mol/s = 1.48 mol/s

CS2 is produced with the same rate of CH4 because 1 mole of CH4 produce 1 mole of CS2 = 0.740mol/s

The H2 is produced four times faster than CH4 is decreased, that is:

0.740mol/s * 4 = 2.96mol/s

b. With the reaction:

2 NH3(g) → N2(g) + 3 H2(g)

2 moles of ammonia are consumed whereas 1 mole of N2 and 3 moles of H2 are produced.

That means 2 moles of gas are consumed and 4 moles of gas are produced.

If the NH3 decreases at a rate of 327torr/min, the gases are produced in a rate twice faster. That is 327torr/min*2 =

654torr/min

The rate of change of the total pressure is rate of reactants + rate of products:

654torr/min + 327torr/min =

981torr/min

What is the potential energy of your 3 kg puppy that is sitting in the grass in your backyard?
lisov135 [29]

As we know that

P.E. = mgh

where,

P.E. = Potential energy of the object =?

m= mass of object= 3kg

g= acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 ms^-2

h = height between object and animal = 0 m

Then

P.E. = 3× 9.8 × 0 = 0 Joules or 0J

Calculate the number of moles of nitrogen monoxide gas used to form 72.0 grams of water vapor.
Anettt [7]

4 moles of nitrogen monoxide gas used to form 72.0 grams of water vapor.

What is a mole ?

A mole is the measurement unit which is used to correlate the molar mass with number of molecules present.

The equation for reaction of Nitrogen monoxide to form water vapor is given by

4NH₃ + 6NO ----> 5N₂ + 6H₂O

72 grams of water vapor means = 72/18 = 4 mole of water vapour

The mole fraction of NO to H₂O is 6 : 6

Therefore for 4 moles of water vapor formation , 4 moles of nitrogen monoxide will be required.

A company issued 6%, 15-year bonds with a face amount of $67 million. The market yield for bonds of similar risk and maturity is
mr Goodwill [35]

Answer:

Bond is expected to be sold at the face value .

Explanation

In cases where market interest rate of bond is lower than coupon rate of bond, the bond is issued at a premium. Reason being that company is giving higher interest rate on bond , this higher rate of interest increases the price of bond, thus, bond is issued at premium.

In a scenario where market interest rate of bond is higher than coupon rate of bond, the bond is issued at Discount. This is so in that company is not returning more than market rate, therefore, to compensate that, the sale value of bond is usually lower than face value.

If the Market rate and coupon rate is equal , then bond will be issued at face value.

Considering the given question, Coupon rate of bond is 6% and market rate is also 6%. In this question , Market yield is considered to be market rate .

Therefore, there is no need to calculate present value of interest payments and redemption value at maturity to calculate price of bond.
