Another change that happened around the same time as discovery of fire was that their diets moved from nuts and berries to include meat. So, the correct option is (A)

<h3>What was the influence of Fire on Human Evolution?</h3>

Humans must have learned to handle fire very early in human history. Most likely due to natural sources such as lightning strikes and naturally occurring forest fires. It wasn't until much later that mankind invented how to make fire. Hominidae (genus Homo) appeared in East Africa about 2.5 million years ago, and fire is closely associated with many stages of evolution. The ability to cook food is thought to have led to the rise of Homo erectus from its more primitive ancestors.

Cooked foods provide much more energy than raw foods with low food consumption. This may have given time to develop social skills too. Cooked foods also detoxify potentially harmful bacteria. This has increased the variety of food available.

Cooking with fire is thought to have developed a large brain. These factors are thought to have driven the evolution of other human traits, including large brains and bodies, small teeth, modern limb proportions, and many social aspects of human-related behavior ( Wrangham et al. 1999). Indeed, by softening food, fire may have had a significant impact on extending human life beyond the age of healthy teeth.

What is the electric force acting between two charges of -0.0050 C and
love history [14]

The electric force is -3.6\cdot 10^8 N (attractive)

Explanation:

The magnitude of the electric force between two charges is given by Coulomb's law:

F=k\frac{q_1 q_2}{r^2}

where:

k=9\cdot 10^9 Nm^{-2}C^{-2} is the Coulomb's constant

q_1, q_2 are the two charges

r is the separation between the two charges

In this problem, we have the following:

q_1 = -0.0050 C (charge 1)

q_2 = +0.0050 C (charge 2)

r = 0.025 m (distance)

Substituting, we find the electric force between the two charges:

F=(9\cdot 10^9) \frac{(-0.0050)(0.0050)}{(0.025)^2}=-3.6\cdot 10^8 N

And the negative sign means the force is attractive, since the two charges have opposite sign.

Two balls have masses 18 kg and 47 kg. The 18 kg ball has an initial velocity of 76 m/s (to the right) along a line joining the
BigorU [14]

Answer:

The final velocity of 18 kg ball is V_{2} = 42.09 \frac{m}{sec}

Explanation:

Mass of first ball m_{1} = 18 kg

Mass of second ball m_{2} = 47 kg

Initial velocity of 18 kg ball V_{1} = 76 \frac{m}{sec}

Initial velocity of 47 kg ball = 0

Final velocity of 18 kg ball V_{2} = ??

Final velocity of 18 kg ball  is given by the formula

V_{2} = \frac{2 m_{1} V_{1} }{m_{1} + m_{2}  }

Put all the values in above formula we get

V_{2} = 2 × 18 × \frac{76}{65}

V_{2} = 42.09 \frac{m}{sec}

Thus, the final velocity of 18 kg ball is V_{2} = 42.09 \frac{m}{sec}

The hour and minute hands of a tower clock like Big Ben in London are 2.79 m and 4.44 m long and have masses of 58.2 kg and 90 k
LuckyWell [14K]

Answer: 895.85 x 10^-6 J or 8.96 x 10^-4 J

Explanation:

Angular kinetic energy E in Joules

E = ½Iw^2

W is angular velocity in radians/sec

1 radian/sec = 9.55 rev/min

I is moment of inertia in kgm^2

I = cMR^2

M is mass (kg), R is radius (meters)

c = 1/3 for a rod around its end, R = length

For minute hand

I = (1/3)(90)(4.44)^2 = 0.33 x 90 x 19.7136 = 585.49

w= 1 rev/hour = 1 rev/3600sec = 2pi/ 3600 = pi/1800 rad/s

KE = 1/2(1/3)(90)(4.44)^2(pi/1800)^2 = 0.5 x 0.33 x 90 x 19.7136 x 3.05 x 10^-6

KE = 0.00089 J

For hour hand

I = (1/3)(58.2)(2.79)^2 = 0.33 x 58.2 x 2.79^2 = 149.5

w = 1 rev/12hour = 1 rev/(12x3600sec) = 2pi/ 12x3600 = pi/21600 rad/s

KE = 1/2(1/3)(90)(4.44)^2(pi/21600)^2 = 0.5 x 0.33 x 90 x 19.7136 x 2.12 x 10^-8

KE = 5.85 x 10^-6 J

Therefore total kinetic energy = 895.85 x 10^-6 J

When comparing saturated and naturally occurring unsaturated fats, the unsaturated fats have __________ and are __________ at ro
Len [333]

Answer: have "cis C=C double bonds" and "liquid" at room temperature.

Explanation:

The unsaturated fatty acids have one or more C=C double bonds in the cis formation. Thus, this results in the molecules not been as stable as the saturated fats. They have weaker intermolecular bonds thus resulting in lower melting point . The consequently results in it being liquid at room temperature.
