Explanation:

How do you draw a pyramid of numbers?

To draw a pyramid of numbers, the number of organisms must be counted for each feeding level. This is done for a given area. Once you have gathered your information you must draw the chart. You use horizontal blocks representing the number of organism drawn to scale on graph paper.

What is an advantage of using a pyramid of numbers?

Pyramids of number and biomass

The number of organisms in each trophic level is counted and presented in a pyramid of numbers. These are referred to as pyramids because of their shape. Producers have a higher value than the primary consumers; primary consumers have a higher value than the secondary consumers and so on

Please help me, is this answer correct?
dedylja [7]

Answer:

All options are correct

Explanation:

Fossils are the remains of organisms (animals and plants) preserved in a rock. Scientists (geologists & palaebiologists) have used fossils to study the diversity of organisms in the past. This is based on their preserved morphological features. For example, several species of foraminifera has been identified in the rocks. Among them, some species are present today whereas others have become extinct.

Similarly, fossils are the indicators of past climate (e.g. temperature) as well. This means, if a specific species can survive at a particular temperature, its presence suggest that particular environment. For example, corals survive in tropical waters at specific depth and sunlight. So, if we find corals fossils, the cliamte of that particular age would be roughly the similar.

In the end, fossils can also provide evidence of orogeny (mountain building) process. These are typically plants fossils which cannot move and their remains are preserved in the folding rocks.

What happens when a keystone species is removed from an ecosystem
Marizza181 [45]
How would removing your umbrella in a rainstorm affect your ability to stay dry? The definition of a keystone species is a species that has a crucial role in an ecosystem. Removing one gear from a clock would stop the clock from working. Removing/changing a major contributer to a balance and natural ecosystem can potentially collapse the entire system altogether.
