Driving Under the Influence

  • In a 2016 reasearch study, it was shown that 26% of all car crashes were caused by driving under the influence of alcohol. Since then numbers have just increased.
  • Driving under the influence does not just mean driving drunk, it can also mean that you have taken some kind of drug, this might be prescribed or illegal.
  • During 9pm to 6 am, is the time of day which has the highest rates of people under the influence behind the wheel

Solutions

  • Calling a cab/using uber or lyft
  • Letting someone else drive
  • Not going to drink alone, if so have a plan of how you are getting home afterwards
  • Read your prescription meds before driving, never assume that they have no effect on your body
  • Having limits on amount of drinks you can order at a bar/restaurant
