Hello!

You solve this like an algebraic equation

You first distribute the 4 and 2

4x - 20 = 2x - 20 + 2x

Combine like terms

4x - 20 = 4x - 20

subtract 4x from both sides

-20 = 0x - 20

Add 20 to both sides

0 = 0

This means that there are infinite solutions to the equation.

Hope this helps!

For how many minutes did Lynn run at a greater speed than Kael? 12 17 23 28.
Archy [21]

Answer:

28 minutes.

Step-by-step explanation:

We can see from our graph that 12 minutes after starting the race Lynn left Kael behind and he ran at a greater speed till the race ended after 40 minutes.

To find total number of minutes Lynn ran faster than Kael we will subtract 12 from 40.

Therefore, Lynn ran at a greater speed than Kael for 28 minutes.

If f(x)=ln x and g(x)=e^x+1 find f(g(2))-g(f(e)) please help!!
Readme [11.4K]

Answer:

ln (e^2 + 1) - (e+ 1)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given f(x) = ln and g(x) = e^x + 1 to get f(g(2))-g(f(e)), we need to first find the composite function f(g(x)) and g(f(x)).

For f(g(x));

f(g(x)) = f(e^x + 1)

substitute x for e^x + 1 in f(x)

f(g(x)) = ln (e^x + 1)

f(g(2)) = ln (e^2 + 1)

For g(f(x));

g(f(x)) = g(ln x)

substitute x for ln x in g(x)

g(f(x)) = e^lnx + 1

g(f(x)) = x+1

g(f(e)) = e+1

f(g(2))-g(f(e)) = ln (e^2 + 1) - (e+ 1)
