In a common but dangerous prank, a chair is pulled away as a person is moving downward to sit on it, causing the victim to land

hard on the floor. Suppose the victim falls by 0.50 m, the mass that moves downward is 67 kg, and the collision on the floor lasts 0.095 s. (a) What is the magnitude of the impulse acting on the victim from the floor during the collision?

Answer:

a).

The magnitude force impulse is

F=656.6 kg*m/s

the average force is

F=656.6 kg*m/s

Explanation:

Using the conservation energy the potential energy in the high is equal to the kinetic energy just before the collision so:

E_K=E_p

\frac{1}{2}*m*v^2=m*g*h

Notice the mass can be cancel as a factor so:

v^2=2*g*h

v=\sqrt{2*g*h}=\sqrt{2*9.8m/s^2*0.50m}

v=9.8 m/s

Now the impulse is determinate by:

F=m*(v_f-(-v_i))

kg*F=m*v_i=67*9.8m/s

F=656.6 kg*m/s

The average force is also

F'=\frac{F}{t}=\frac{656.6}{0.095s}

F'=6911.57 N

The dimensions of a cylinder are changing, but the height is always equal to the diameter of the base of the cylinder. If the he
VashaNatasha [74]

Answer:

dV/dt  = 9 cubic inches per second

Explanation:

Let the height of the cylinder is h

Diameter of cylinder = height of the cylinder = h

Radius of cylinder, r = h/2

dh/dt = 3 inches /s

Volume of cylinder is given by

V = \pi r^{2}h

put r = h/2 so,

V = \pi \frac{h^{3}}{4}

Differentiate both sides with respect to t.

\frac{dV}{dt}=\frac{3h^{2}}{4}\times \frac{dh}{dt}

Substitute the values, h = 2 inches, dh/dt = 3 inches / s

\frac{dV}{dt}=\frac{3\times 2\times 2}{4}\times 3

dV/dt  = 9 cubic inches per second

Thus, the volume of cylinder increases by the rate of 9 cubic inches per second.

Answer: Heat Cramps

Explanation:

Sunburn isn't caused by sweating. When one has heat stroke, they do not sweat. Heat cramps are a SYMPTOM of heat cramps, but heat exhaustion includes much more than just heat cramps.

A small remote-control car with a mass of 1.65 kg moves at a constant speed of v = 12.0 m/s in a vertical circle inside a hollow
Reil [10]

Answer:

N=63.69N

Explanation:

The normal force exerted on the car by the walls of the cylinder at the bottom of the vertical circle will be such that when substracted to the weight it must give the centripetal force, since at that point on the vertical F_{cp}=N-W=N-mg

We also know that the equation for the centripetal force is:

F_{cp}=ma_{cp}=\frac{mv^2}{r}

Mixing both equations we get:

N-mg=\frac{mv^2}{r}

N=mg+\frac{mv^2}{r}

Which for our values means:

N=(1.65Kg)(9.8m/s^2)+\frac{(1.65Kg)(12m/s)^2}{(5m)}=63.69N

When a fighter pilot feels massive amounts of force when their planes turn quickly applies to_
sattari [20]

Answer:

The answer is A - Newtons First Law

Explanation:

The law is what we call "Inertia". The law basically states that an object wants to stay where it is. We can see the effect from our cars, albeit with less force. When the car turns right, your body goes left, opposite to the turns direction due to us moving position in the car.
