Mendeleev periodic table was that he predicted new undiscovered elements.

<u>Explanation:</u>

The first periodic table was proposed by Mendeleev and he placed the elements based on the mass and recurring properties of the elements, and he also left blank spaces for unknown elements, as he predicted few more elements will be discovered. He grouped similar elements together.

He predicted the discovery of Eka-boron, Eka-aluminium, Eka-manganese, Eka-silicon which were found to be Scandium, Gallium, Technetium and Germanium respectively.

horrorfan [7]

Answer:

Displacement = 12\hat{i} +7\hat{j}

Magnitude of displacement = 13.89 units

Angle of displacement = 30.26°

Explanation:

Mark the co-ordinates of each of the end points of the vectors.

The marked co-ordinates are shown below.

Displacement is the shortest distance between two points. Here, displacement between the starting and end points is the vector \overrightarrow{OA}.

Displacement vector for a point A(x,y) from origin O is given as:

\overrightarrow{OA}=(x-0)\hat{i}+(y-0)\hat{j}

Magnitude is given as:

|\overrightarrow{OA}|=\sqrt{x^{2}+y^{2}}

Direction of the vector is given as:

\theta=tan^{-1}\frac{y}{x}

Therefore, displacement vector is:

\overrightarrow{OA}=(12-0)\hat{i}+(7-0)\hat{j}\\ \overrightarrow{OA}=12\hat{i}+7\hat{j}

Magnitude of displacement is given as:

|\overrightarrow{OA}|=\sqrt{x^{2}+y^{2}}\\ |\overrightarrow{OA}|=\sqrt{12^{2}+7^{2}}\\ |\overrightarrow{OA}|=\sqrt{144+49}\\\\ |\overrightarrow{OA}|=13.89

Angle of displacement is:

tan\theta=\frac{y}{x} =\frac{7}{12}\\\theta=tan^{-1}(\frac{7}{12})

\theta=30.26°

How does Newton's law of motion describe when and how objects move?
r-ruslan [8.4K]
Newton's laws of motion relate an object's motion to the forces acting on it. ... In the second law, the force on an object is equal to its mass times its acceleration. In the third law, when two objects interact, they apply forces to each other of equal magnitude and opposite direction.

On being introduced to the laws of thermodynamics, a student retorted, “When the brakes of a moving car are applied, the kinetic
inn [45]

Answer:

No, not at all. This kinetic energy of car is converted/lost in the form of sound and heat under the tyre when driver apply brakes.

Explanation:

This law states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed but it changes from one form to the other.

In this case reduction of kinetic energy of car does not contradict the law but it changes into heat and sound energy. When driver apply brakes we hear the sound of Tyre due to friction with the road. The tyre become hot too.

So it is not in contradiction to the law of conservation of energy (First Law of Thermodynamics).

Please mark branliest if you are satisfied with the answer. Thanking you in anticipation.
