The range is the difference between the highest and lowest numbers.

Range:
35 - 12= 23

2/9 of 36:
Multiply 2/9 by 36
=2/9(36)
multiply 2 by 36; divide by 9
=(2*36)/9
=72/9
=8

8 is 2/9 of 36.

Hope this helps! :)
