3 boxes of computer diskettes at $8.99 per box = (3 * 8.99 = 26.97 )
2 packages of pens at $ 2.50 per package = (2 * 2.50 = 5.00 )
6 boxes of paper at $ 22.95 per box = (6 * 22.95 = 137.70)
1 printer ribbon at $25 each. = (1 * 25 = 25)
Add up (26.97+5.00+137.70+25 ) and the answer is = 194.67

Need HELP!!! For all, I’m truly confused
Nataliya [291]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The figures dont have enough letters to explain step by step all the exercises.

Bread 1:

The horizontal lines are parallels so both angles must be the same

2x + 21 = 4x - 17

21 + 17 = 4x - 2x

38 = 2x

x = 19

Bread 2:

Angles sum 180°

3y - 5 + 2y - 25 = 180

5y - 30 = 180

5y = 180 +30

5y = 210

y = 42

Bread 3:

Angle ABC is the same as the other 2, since x = 19

ABC = 2x + 21

ABC = 2 * 19 + 21

ABC = 59

Bread 4:

Angle ABC is the same as 3y - 5, y = 42

ABC = 3y - 5

ABC = 3 * 42 -5

ABC = 121

Bread 5:

Angles must be the same

5x - 14 = 2x + 13

5x - 2x = 13 + 14

3x = 27

x = 9

Bread 6:

Angle ABC = 5x - 14 , x = 9

ABC = 5 * 9 - 14

ABC = 31

If you need to understand why the angles must be the same just comment and I will give you more details

Answer:

a. The start-up cost for the teenagers company is $50

b. The number of mugs the teenager must sell to break even are 5 mugs or 25 mugs

c. The number of mugs that will give maximum profit is 15 mugs

d. The profit if she sells 10 mugs is $30

Step-by-step explanation:

The given profit function for selling <em>x</em> number of mugs is presented as follows;

f(x) = -0.4·x² + 12·x - 50

a. The start-up cost in dollars is given by the value of the profit function at the start, where, x = 0, as follows;

Start-up cost = f(0) = -0.4×0² + 12×0 - 50 = -50

The negative sign represents amount put in the business

The start-up cost = (The initial) $50 put into the business.

b. The break even point is the point where, the revenue and costs are equal

At break even point; Revenue = Cost

∴ Profit, at break even point, f(x) = Revenue - Cost = 0

From the profit function, we get;

At the break even point, f(x) = 0 = -0.4·x² + 12·x - 50

Dividing by -0.4 gives;

0/(-0.4) = 0 = (-0.4·x² + 12·x - 50)/(-0.4) = x² - 30 + 125

0 = x² - 30 + 125

∴ (x - 25)·(x - 5) = 0

The number of mugs the teenager must sell before she breaks even, x = 5 mugs or x = 25 mugs.

c. From the general form of a quadratic equation,  which is; y = a··x² + b·x + c, the formula for the x-values at the maximum point is; x = -b/(2·a)

Comparing the profit function to the general form of the quadratic equation we have at the maximum point;

x = -12/(2×(-0.4)) = 15

Therefore, the number of mugs that will give maximum profit, x = 15 mugs.

d. The profit from selling 10 mugs, f(10) is given as follows;

f(10) = -0.4 × 10² + 12 × 10 - 50 = 30

The profit from selling 10 mugs, f(10) = $30

A shipping container contains seven complex electronic systems. Unknown to the purchaser, two are defective. Two of the seven ar
kodGreya [7K]

Answer:

     \large\boxed{\large\boxed{10/21}}

Explanation:

There are only two mutually exclusive possibilities for each complex electronic system: being <em>defective</em> or being <em>not defective</em>:

  • Number of complex electronic systems: 7
  • Nmber of defective systems: 2
  • Number of not defective systems: 5

<em>Probability </em>that no defective systems are found in the sample is the equal to the probability of selecting them consecutively without replacement and finding each one is not defective:

  • Porbability the first is not defective × probability the second is not defective

  • 5/7 × 4/6 = 20/42 = 10/21
