(2x - 5) (5x - 10)
Use FOIL
10x² - 20x - 25x + 50

10x²  - 45x + 50

5( 2x² - 9x + 10)

     2x           -5
      x             -2

5(2x - 5)(x -2)

make each equal to 0
2x - 5 = 0
x - 2 = 0

2x - 5 = 0                        x - 2 = 0
2x - 5 (+5) = 0                x - 2 (+2) = 0 (+2)
2x = 5                             x  = 2
x = 5/2

x = 5/2 , 2

hope this helps

What is the value of x? (2x - 5) (5x - 10)
(No answers, you have to write the answers)</span>

(2x-5)(5x-10)= 0 \\  \\ the\  distributive\  property. \\  \\ 10x^2-20x-25x+50 = 0 \\  \\ 10x^2-45x +50 = 0 \\  \\ Bhaskara  \to \ x _{1\ and\ 2} =   \dfrac{-b\pm  \sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{2a} \quad a=10\quad b= -45\quad c=50 \\  \\  \\ \ x _{1\ and\ 2} =   \dfrac{-(-45)\pm  \sqrt{(45)^2-4(10)(50)} }{2(10)} \\  \\  \\\ x _{1\ and\ 2} =   \dfrac{+45\pm  \sqrt{2025-2000} }{20} \\  \\  \\\ x _{1\ and\ 2} =   \dfrac{+45\pm  \sqrt{25} }{20}

x _{1\ and\ 2} =   \dfrac{+45\pm 5 }{20} \\  \\  \\ x _{1} =   \dfrac{+45+ 5 }{20} \qquad\qquad  x _{2} =   \dfrac{+45-5 }{20}\\  \\  \\ x _{1} =   \dfrac{50 }{20} \qquad\qquad \qquad x _{2} =   \dfrac{+40 }{20}\\  \\  \\ x _{1} =   \dfrac{5 }{2} \qquad\qquad \qquad x _{2} =   \dfrac{+4 }{2} \\  \\  \\  \boxed{\\  \\  \\ x _{1} =   \dfrac{5 }{2} \qquad\qquad \qquad x _{2} =  2}

I wish you much success in your studies!!!!

According tp the fundamental theorem of algebra, how many zeros does the polynomial below have? f(x)=x^3-10x^2+27x-12
prisoha [69]
The answer is 3.

The fundamental theorem of algebra says that a number of zeros of a polynomial are equal to the highest exponent on a variable.

The polynomial is <span>f(x)=x</span>³<span>-10x</span>²<span>+27x-12
The highest exponent of a variable x is 3: x</span>³
Therefore, the number of zeroes of the polynomial is 3.
